Rabinarayan Mahapatra

Rabinarayan Mahapatra was Indian Odia writer. He translated Gopabandhu Das’s Prisoner’s Autobiography into Prison  Musings in English. The translator of this book has been diverse. His formative years unfolded amidst the serenity of Jagatsinghpur. Mahapatra’s professional odyssey led him to a 30 year tenure as a mining geologist with Hindustan Zinc Limited In Udaipur. Across borders, he carried out Geological Exploration in Turkey, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan and Zambia leaving his indeible mark in the exploration of ores like molybdenum, lead zinc, manganese and copper. Beyond mining geology, he has ventured into the pages of literature. However , Mahapatra  is not merely defined by his professional achievements; he emerges as a multifaceted individual driven by an insatiable appetite for reading and an unwavering passion to xplore new realms of thought.
